In Mumbai the public transport system is seen as particularly slow and unreliable. From a European perspective, but also in the view of the local elite, a gigantic traffic chaos rules the city. This perception contrasts with the fact that a highly complex system of informal food distribution takes place punctually every day through 5000 "Dabbawallas": Shilpa Gupta has developed a trailer for a computer game which demonstrates the circulation and the high degree of self organisation of this distribution system.
